​Canada Study Immigration Program

British Columbia Overseas Study Immigration Path

British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) (International Post Graduate)– The program aims to attract master's or doctorate (PhD) degree graduates from B.C. who possess the skills, experience and qualifications needed by B.C. employers to stay in B.C. and advancing their careers in B.C.'s thriving technology, health care, and applied sciences sectors. Applicants who fulfill the PNP requirements are eligible to Canadian permanent residency.

 

Qualified graduates can apply through the Skills Immigration (SI) Stream or the Express Entry BC (EEBC) Stream. 

 

 

Programme Advantages/ Features

  • applying schools, study permit, work permit, provincial nominee program and immigration application for the applicant

  • Applicant can obtain a Canadian qualification in the post-graduate level, as well as work rights in B.C.

  • The spouse and child(ren) can accompany the applicant to Canada; The spouse can apply for an Open Work Permit to work in B.C.

  • There is no requirement to get a job offer or local work experience for application when compared to most of the provincial nominee programs

Requirements

  1. Have a master's or doctoral (PhD) degree in natural, applied or health sciences from one of the eligible programs at a B.C. institution

  2. Completed the eligible program in the last 3 years

  3. Have the ability and intent to live and work in B.C.

 

 

Friendly reminder

  • Natural, applied or health sciences include studies of agriculture, biological and biomedical sciences, computer and information sciences and support services, engineering, engineering technology, health professions and related clinical sciences, mathematics and statistics, natural resources conservation and research, and physical science.

  • Unlike the International Graduate sub-category, a job offer is NOT required for applying the International Post-Graduate sub-category in both the SI and EEBC Streams.

  • Distance education learning program does not qualify for BCPNP regardless if you are studying from abroad or from within Canada.

  • The EEBC International Post-Graduate program is usually a faster way to permanent residency than their counterpart under SI Stream

  • The BCPNP can be divided into 1) International Post-Graduate sub-category, SI Stream and 2) International Post-Graduate sub-category, Express Entry BC (EEBC) Stream

  • Applicants must additionally fulfill the criteria of at least one of the federal Express Entry immigration programs:

    • Federal Skilled Worker,

    • Federal Skilled Trades or

    • Canadian Experience Class

Manitoba Overseas Study Immigration Path

 

Manitoba Provincial Government Nominee Program – The study/education immigration can apply to become a permanent resident of Canada through two major streams - International Study Stream (IES) and Skilled Worker Stream.

 

The Provincial Nominee Program aims to attract overseas students who are about to graduate from the province, have already graduated, or overseas workers who have work experience to stay in the province and use what they learned to contribute back to the local community and promote local economic development. Therefore, as long as the applicant graduates from the local area can apply to become a permanent resident of Canada through the provincial nomination program. There are many other aliases on the market, such as overseas study migration, Manitoba Study Path, MPNP IES, MPNP Skilled Worker, and nomination programs. Collectively referred to them as the Manitoba Immigration through Study Path.

  • Applying schools, job matching and immigration applications. Applicant may also obtain Canadian education, work opportunities, and immigration status

  • Subject options include diplomas, certificates, bachelors, postgraduate diplomas, master's programs, etc

  • During the school terms, the applicant can be accompanied by his/her spouse and children; The spouse can apply for an Open Work permit to work in the local area

 

 

Requirements

  • Study for at least one year of course at a Manitoba's accredited college, including diplomas, certificates, bachelors, postgraduate diplomas, master's programs

  • Employment Notice issued by employer in Manitoba Province and work experience of 6 months

  • Have the ability and intent to live and work in Manitoba

  •  

 

Friendly reminder:

  • Clients who do not meet the qualifications for immigration program such as technical personnel, entrepreneur and investor may choose the study path immigration programs.

  • Applicant who is employed by a Manitoba employer as Manitoba In-demand Occupation can be exempted from six-month work requirement.

 
 
Québec experience program (PEQ)

Quebec Provincial Government Nominee Program – The Quebec Experience Program (PEQ) can be divided into Quebec Graduates and Skilled Foreign Temporary Workers.

 

The Provincial Nominee Program aims to attract overseas students who are about to graduate from the province, have already graduated, or overseas workers who have work experience in the province to stay behind and use what they learned to contribute back to the local community and promote local economic development. Therefore, as long as the applicant graduates from the local area and meets the French requirements, he can apply for a permanent residency in Canada through PEQ. There are many other aliases on the market, such as PEQ, immigration for overseas students, Quebec Study Path etc., Collectively referred to them as PEQ or Quebec study immigrants.

 

Programme Advantages/ Features:

  • Application of schools, student visas and immigration application

  • During the school terms, the principle applicant can be accompanied by his/ her spouse and children in Quebec; the spouse can apply for an Open Work permit to work in the local area

  • After graduation, one can apply to become a permanent resident of Canada through the Quebec government nomination program without being hired by an employer

Requirements

  • 18 or above

  • The academic term in Quebec is not less than 1,800 hours (less than 1.5 year) and the selected subject must also be a full-time course

  • Achieved French proficiency (B2 level of Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) )

  • Have the ability and intent to live and work in Quebec

 

Friendly reminder

  • If the applicant chooses a vocational diploma/certificate, upon completion and pass of the French language course, one can apply for immigration.

  • If the applicant's course is taught in French, then it equals to CEFR B2 level.
