Investment Visa

Subclass 188B – Investor Stream:
​This visa is a 4 years 3 months temporary visa designed for applicants who has solid investment experience. This visa welcomes applicants who have successful business or investment record and have certain profit generated from the business or investment. The applicant is required to make a designated investment for at least 4 years before being eligible for a permanent visa.
Eligibility:
  • Have more than 3 years investment experience
  • Obtain state/territory nomination
  • Under 55 years old (If older, need to demonstrate exceptional economic benefit)
  • For at least 1 of the 5 fiscal years immediately before we invite you to apply, the applicant have directly management of a qualifying business in which you, your partner or you and your partner combined had at least 10% ownership interest, or an eligible investment of at least AUD1.5 million owned by you, your partner or you and your partner combined.
  • For the 2 fiscal years immediately before we invite you to apply, you, your partner, or you and your partner together, have business and personal assets with a net value of at least AUD2.5 million.Before grant of visa, the applicant is required to make AUD2.5m complying investment with the nominating state/territory
  • Be able to score 65 points or more

Subclass 188C – Significant Investor Stream:
This visa is a 4 years 3 months temporary visa designed for applicants who has strong asset background and is willing to invest AUD 5 million on complying investments. The applicant is required to make a complying investment for at least 4 years before being eligible for a permanent visa.
Eligibility:
Applicant is required to make a complying investment of a least AUD 5 million for 4 years and hold for at least 4 years, It must be invested in the following proportions:
  • At least AUD1 million in venture capital and growth private equity funds which invest in start-ups and small private companies
  • At least AUD1.5 million in approved managed funds. The managed funds must invest in emerging companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange
  • A ‘balancing investment’ of at least AUD2.5 million in managed funds. The managed funds can invest in a range of assets, including companies listed on the Australian stock exchange, Australian corporate bonds or notes, annuities and commercial real estate.
  • Obtain state/territory nomination
